What is the Role of Strategy?

The role of strategy is one that aligns all functions in an organization to “row together” toward defining the organization’s goals and direction. The creation of strategic goals requires a vision of growth that is associated with the organization’s mission, and, of course, includes the result of value for stakeholders. The development of goals, initiatives, and objectives is a necessary part of a strategy to make sure everyone is on the same page, leading in the direction of attaining the defined strategy.
